The Minister for Transport, Mr Joseph Nikpe Bukari, has praised the growing impact of Moroccan investments in Ghana, highlighting their significant contributions to key sectors such as housing, fertiliser production, cement manufacturing, and banking.
He noted that these investments continue to generate employment opportunities and support Ghana’s broader economic growth.
Mr Bukari made the remarks during a meeting with his Moroccan counterpart, H.E. Abdessamad Kayouh, on the sidelines of the ICAO Global Implementation Support Symposium 2026 held in Marrakech, Morocco.
He also commended Royal Air Maroc for strengthening air connectivity between Accra and Casablanca, describing the route as important for promoting trade, tourism, and cultural exchange between the two countries.
The Minister further emphasised the need for more competitive and affordable airfares to enhance accessibility for travellers and deepen people-to-people relations.
Mr Bukari expressed appreciation to the Kingdom of Morocco for successfully hosting the ICAO Global Implementation Support Symposium 2026, noting its importance in advancing global aviation cooperation.
