Ghana and Italy are deepening their collaboration in cybersecurity, reflecting a shared commitment to securing the digital future of both economies and protecting citizens from emerging threats.
Speaking at a stakeholder workshop on the implementation of the national cybersecurity policy and strategy at the Fiesta Royal Hotel in Accra on Wednesday, the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Mr Samuel Nartey George, emphasised that “Cybersecurity is a shared responsibility. Ghana and Italy are joining forces to build a secure and resilient digital future.”
The Minister noted flagship initiatives being advanced by the Ministry, including the One Million Coders Programme and Girls in ICT, which integrate cybersecurity awareness and secure development practices.
He explained that these programmes are designed to build a future-ready workforce capable of safeguarding Ghana’s digital ecosystem and protecting critical information infrastructure.
