Works and Housing Minister Inspects Major Housing Projects in Tema

The Minister for Works, Housing and Water Resources, Mr Kenneth Gilbert Adjei, has embarked on a working visit to inspect ongoing housing and infrastructure projects in the Tema Acquisition Area of the TDC Company Limited, reaffirming the government’s commitment to bridging Ghana’s housing deficit.

Among the projects toured were Phases IV and V of the Kpone (Comm 26) Affordable Housing Project, comprising over 1,000 two-bedroom units. Work on both phases, which commenced in 2025, is now 90% complete.

The Minister also inspected the construction of 240 apartment units to replace the dilapidated Kaizer flats in Community 4, and 60 two-bedroom apartments at Site 3.

In addition to housing, Mr Adjei visited the construction of a 5,000-capacity event centre equipped with modern facilities suitable for concerts, conferences, weddings, and exhibitions.

Speaking during the tour, the Minister emphasised that these projects will augment the existing housing supply and contribute to addressing the national housing deficit. He commended the TDC Company Limited for its role in delivering affordable housing solutions and modern community infrastructure.
