The Ambassador of the Lebanese Republic and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, His Excellency Maher Kheir has greatly celebrated Ghana for its democratic credentials and long-standing record of peacekeeping, especially the country’s contribution to the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) since 1978.
In his farewell message to His Excellency John Dramani Mahama upon the completion of his tour of duty in Ghana, he briefed President Mahama on the various activities he undertook during his tour to further enhance the cooperation between Ghana and Lebanon in education, culture, and trade.
President Mahama applauded Ambassador Kheir for his leadership which has strengthened the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries and guaranteed that Ghana will continue to contribute to UNIFIL due to the importance of peace and security,
