The Cyber Security Authority (CSA) has partnered with the African Centre for Parliamentary Affairs (ACEPA) to mark National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM) 2025.
According to CSA last Friday, this year’s initiative, themed “Building a Safe, Informed, and Accountable Digital Space,” is expected to run throughout October.
The partnership aims to build the capacity of parliamentarians, institutions, and citizens through a series of workshops, webinars, and training sessions.
It emphasised that as parliaments embrace digital transformation to enhance transparency and citizen engagement, they must also confront growing risks such as cybercrime, misinformation, and data breaches.
The CSA noted that with global cybercrime losses reaching $16.6 billion in 2024 and Ghana reporting over GH₵23 million in related losses, the need for resilience and awareness has never been greater.
“Together, we can strengthen cybersecurity, protect democratic processes, and foster trust in Ghana’s digital future,” it stated.
