University for Development Studies to Begin Courses on AfCFTA

The University for Development Studies (UDS) will start offering courses on the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) beginning September 2025.

A statement issued by the Ghana International Trade and Finance Conference (GiTFIC) in Accra, said, the University for Development Studies will commence implementation of AfCFTA courses at the undergraduate and post graduate levels in September 2025.

According to the statement, this follows the completion of adoption procedures between the University for Development Studies and GiTFiC under the auspices of the Chairman of the AfCFTA Tertiary Students’ Club, the distinguished Champion of the AfCFTA Tertiary Curriculum and the AfCFTA Tertiary Curriculum Committee.

This brings the implementation institutions to two, namely, All Nations University and the University for Development Studies.

Courses to be offered at the undergraduate level include Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship, Economy of Ghana and International Trade and Finance whiles post graduate courses will include Economic Growth and Development.
