President John Dramani Mahama will embark on a working visit to the Republic of Korea from March 10 to 14, 2026.
The Presidency announced this in a statement signed by Spokesperson to the President and Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, on Sunday.
According to the statement, the President departs from Accra on Sunday and is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with the President of the Republic of Korea, Lee Jae Myung.
The statement disclosed that President Mahama will later meet with the Speaker of the Korean National Assembly, Woo Won-shik.
It stated that the President will take part in a ship-naming ceremony at the Hyundai Shipyard in Ulsan during the visit.
The statement revealed that President Mahama will deliver a speech at a Conferment Ceremony at Yonsei University.
It noted that other activities will include an evening with Ghanaians living, studying, and working in South Korea, as well as a dinner meeting with Chief Executives and business owners.
The working visit is expected to strengthen bilateral relations between Ghana and the Republic of Korea, exploring opportunities for enhanced cooperation in areas of mutual interest including trade, investment, education, and technology.
