The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has rescheduled its National Sanitation Day exercise from March 7 to February 28, 2026.
According to a statement released by the Public Relations Unit of the Assembly on Tuesday, the rescheduling has become necessary because of the Independence Day celebration.
The release stated that “Consequently, the public, particularly schools and the business community, who usually participate in the monthly organised clean-up activity, should take notice of the new date.”
The statement further stated that the clean-up exercise will take place at the usual time – 6:00 am to 12 noon, and all commercial vehicles are expected to suspend operation during the stated period of the exercise.
