GACL Board Tours Airports Facilities

The Board and Management of Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), led by Board Chairman Mr James Agalga, embarked on a nationwide tour of airport facilities as part of efforts to assess operations and accelerate development across the sector.

The Chairman, based on the interaction the board had with the staff, assured that their concerns would be addressed to improve efficiency and service delivery, adding that increasing investor interest in the aviation sector signals strong prospects for growth.

As part of the exercise, the delegation paid a courtesy call on the Volta Regional Minister, Mr James Gunu, who commended the Board for its commitment to making the airport fully functional, in addition to the broader aviation hub vision of Togbe Afede XIV.

He noted that these efforts would significantly enhance the region’s economic prospects, boost tourism, attract investment, and improve overall accessibility.

The Board also disclosed that approval has been granted for the procurement of a new fire tender to strengthen safety and meet operational requirements.

The engagement reaffirmed a shared commitment between the GACL leadership and the Regional Coordinating Council to ensure the successful operationalisation of the Ho Airport, positioning the Volta Region as a key hub for economic growth and connectivity.
