CGI Meets Bono Regional Minister to Deepen Security Partnership

The Comptroller-General of Immigration (CGI) for the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS), Mr Samuel Basintale Amadu, has paid a courtesy call on the Bono Regional Minister, Mr Joseph Addea Akwaboa, as part of his five-day official tour of the region.

During the meeting on Tuesday, Mr Amadu explained that the tour was intended to gain firsthand insight into the Immigration Service’s operations and activities in the Bono Region.

 He expressed appreciation for the support extended to the GIS in recent months and emphasised the importance of sustained collaboration between the Service and regional authorities.

“The partnership we have built is crucial to strengthening border security and ensuring that immigration officers can effectively contribute to national development,” Mr Amadu noted.

Mr Akwaboa congratulated the CGI on his appointment and wished him success in his tour. He pledged unwavering support to the Immigration Service, stressing that its role in safeguarding the region’s security and promoting progress cannot be overstated.
