The Deputy Commandant of the Ghana Military Academy, Brigadier General Edward Awaribery, has called on personnel of the Jungle Warfare School (JWS) to uphold discipline, humility, and excellence as the foundation of military leadership.
Speaking at the induction service for the newly appointed Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Speratus Anglaamwine Baninyeni, on Sunday, at Akim Achiase, he urged all ranks to guard against complacency and adhere strictly to the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) Code of Conduct.
He stressed that true leadership entails preserving the values and standards of the past while nurturing discipline and integrity to uphold the legacy and reputation of the GAF.
“Excellence in trade skills, administration, and personal conduct is not just a duty to the Service, but to the nation,” he emphasised.
In his address, Lt Col Baninyeni acknowledged the Military High Command for allowing him to serve as Commanding Officer of JWS.
He called on personnel to lead with faith, courage, and integrity, noting that success would be achieved through collective effort and reliance on divine guidance.
