Works and Housing Minister Meets SHC Board to Discuss Housing Solutions

The Minister for Works and Housing, Mr Kenneth Gilbert Adjei, has met with the Board of Directors of the State Housing Company to discuss the urgent need for innovative strategies to address Ghana’s housing challenges.

Speaking at the meeting on Tuesday in Accra, he commended the Board for various initiatives within the housing sub-sector and urged them to prioritise several key areas moving forward.

Mr Adjei emphasised the need to deliver real housing solutions at scale that are both quality and affordable for the Ghanaian populace. He highlighted the importance of utilising construction technology and embracing alternative materials and efficient building methods to expedite project delivery while reducing costs for the benefit of Ghanaians.

The Minister also called on the Board to build partnerships with private developers, financial institutions, pension funds, and local governments. These collaborations, he said, are critical for achieving the long-term goal of bridging the country’s housing deficit.

Assuring the Board of his unwavering support, Mr Adjei reminded them of the public’s high expectations, which must be met without fail.
