Mr. Mathew Ayeh, Municipal Chief Executive, led the exercise, which saw active participation from all suburbs of Prestea, with residents desilting gutters, sweeping streets, and clearing refuse from public areas.

As part of the program, the MCE, the Member of Parliament for Prestea Huni-Valley, Mr. Robert Wisdom Cudjoe, and the Divisional Chief of Himan, Nana Ntebua Pra IV, together with the police and other security officers, walked through the principal streets of Prestea to inspect the progress of the clean-up exercise. Their presence was seen as a strong show of leadership and commitment to the cause.

Mr. Mathew Ayeh expressed satisfaction with the massive turnout, noting that the exercise had proven what could be achieved when leadership and the community work together.

He assured that the Assembly would continue to lead such initiatives, but stressed that lasting change depends on residents maintaining the spirit of cleanliness in their daily lives.

Nana Ntebua Pra IV commended residents for their unity and dedication, emphasizing that sanitation was a shared responsibility and called on all households in Prestea-Himan to keep up the momentum to ensure a clean and healthy community.

The MCE further announced that similar sanitation activities would soon be replicated in Huni-Valley, Bogoso, and Aboso to extend the benefits of the initiative across the municipality.

Hon. Mathew Ayeh also acknowledged the tireless efforts of Assembly Members, who played a crucial role in mobilizing their communities, and commended the Environmental Health Department, led by Mr. Kwabena Dramani, as well as municipal staff and the media, for their contribution.
