President John Dramani Mahama has returned to Ghana after attending the Africa Forward Summit in Nairobi, Kenya, where he participated in high-level discussions on energy, health, and African economic integration alongside a series of bilateral meetings with senior international figures.
The summit, co-hosted by Kenyan President William Ruto and French President Emmanuel Macron, brought together African and global leaders to discuss the continent’s development agenda across a range of policy areas.
The President participated in a high-level plenary on energy and green transitions and attended a working lunch focused on African financial institutions.
He also co-chaired a session on rethinking health, where he delivered both opening and closing remarks.
On the sidelines of the summit, the President held bilateral talks with International Monetary Fund Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, African Continental Free Trade Area Secretary-General Wamkele Mene, and the President of the International Fund for Agricultural Development.
The President returned to Ghana on Tuesday night.
