The Office of the Registrar of Companies (ORC) has announced that it will continue publishing statutory notices through the Companies Bulletin as part of its mandate under the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992).
A press statement issued by the ORC on Monday said the publication forms part of efforts to improve transparency, accountability and public access to corporate information in Ghana.
According to the Registrar of Companies, Madam Maame Samma Peprah, the Companies Bulletin remains the official platform for notices and other statutory matters required under the Companies Act.
“The Companies Bulletin serves as the official platform for the publication of statutory notices and other matters required under the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992), in line with the Registrar’s mandate to promote transparency, accountability and public access to corporate information,” she said.
The Office explained that the publication covers a wide range of corporate and legal notices, including change of company names, registration of annual returns, liquidation proceedings, dissolution and restoration of companies, appointment and removal of liquidators, court-approved arrangements and notices involving external companies operating in Ghana.
It said the Bulletin also carries notices relating to unclaimed dividends transferred to the Registrar, enforcement of securities, court orders and directives issued by the Registrar under the law.
The Registrar urged companies, corporate bodies and legal practitioners to regularly consult the Companies Bulletin for updates relating to corporate activities and regulatory requirements.
“The ORC encourages companies, corporate bodies, legal practitioners and the general public to regularly consult the Companies Bulletin for statutory notices and regulatory updates relating to corporate activities in Ghana,” she noted.
It said the ORC remains committed to promoting transparency, strengthening corporate governance, and ensuring an efficient regulatory environment for businesses operating in Ghana.
