The Office of the Registrar of Companies (ORC) has extended the deadline for filing Annual Returns and renewing Business Names from April 30, 2026, to June 30, 2026, giving businesses across the country more time to meet their legal obligations.
A release by the ORC on Friday stated that the extension is intended to provide businesses with additional time to address compliance and documentation challenges and to regularise their status without immediate sanctions.
“Companies that fail to comply with the extended deadline will be subject to penalties, including additional filing fees and possible removal from the Companies Register,” it added.
It noted that all stakeholders are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this extension to ensure compliance and avoid sanctions.
