The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has directed that all commercial activities in the Kumasi Metropolis should cease on Saturday, April 11, 2026, until 12:00 noon.
This directive has become necessary because of the National Sanitation Day, which will be observed on the said date.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the Assembly also reminded commercial vehicle operators that they are not permitted to operate during the entire cleaning exercise, which runs from 6:00 am to 12:00 noon.
“We anticipate that all traders, corporate entities, commercial drivers and residents will comply with this directive fully,” the Statement concluded.
