The Head of the Public Relations Coordinating Unit (PRCD)at the Information Services Department (ISD), Rev. Charlotte Hanson has announced plans to establish a Government PROs Association, which will operate as a cohort under the Institute of Public Relations (IPR), Ghana.
She announced this during the 2025 PROs Mid-Year Review Summit in Accra on Wednesday.
She added that a draft constitution has been prepared and will be presented today for review and input.
“The essence of forming this Association is to ensure that government PROs are well organized, connected, and professionally aligned,” she stated.
Mrs. Hanson explained that through the association, Public Relations Officers (PROs) can build stronger professional ties, learn from and support one another, and uphold the highest standards of public relations practice.
“This, she noted, will make government communication more effective, coordinated, and impactful.”
