Foreign Affairs Ministry Appeals to CEOs for Secured Jobs for South African Returnees

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) and entrepreneurs across Ghana to support the national jobs initiative to assist Ghanaian nationals being evacuated from South Africa.

In a statement released on Monday, the Ministry appealed for immediate private sector involvement to expand employment opportunities for the returnees, noting that 120 job offers have already been secured through ongoing coordination efforts.

According to the ministry, it has been working closely with partners to connect evacuees to available roles and urged businesses willing to participate to reach out to the ministry’s Delivery Unit for coordination.

“We are urging Ghanaian CEOs and entrepreneurs to support our jobs initiative for our brothers and sisters being evacuated from South Africa. Already, 120 job offers have been secured. Kindly call our Delivery Unit. Ghana always cares,” the statement read.

It appealed to the public to reach the delivery unit led by Ambassador Alexander Grant Ntrakwa on 0561108000.

The initiative forms part of efforts to ensure returning citizens are quickly integrated into productive work arrangements as they resettle in the country following their evacuation.
