President John Dramani Mahama has received the letters of credence of five newly appointed envoys to Ghana, with ambassadors and high commissioners from France, Angola, Namibia, South Sudan and China formally presenting their credentials at a ceremony.
The envoys who presented their credentials were the Ambassador-Designate of France, H.E. Diarra Dime Labille; the Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of Angola, H.E. Rui Orlando Ferreira De Ceita Da Silva Xavier; the High Commissioner-Designate of the Republic of Namibia, H.E. Ndiyakupi Nghituwamata; the Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of South Sudan, H.E. Jacquiline Natepi Ben Lochalamoi; and the Ambassador-Designate of the People’s Republic of China, H.E. Cong Song.
The presentation of letters of credence is the formal diplomatic process through which newly appointed envoys are officially recognised by a host country, marking the beginning of their tenure and their authority to represent their governments in Ghana.
