Tourism Minister Reaffirms Commitment to Youth Employment Through Creative Arts

The Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to youth employment through the creative arts.

She made this statement during a meeting with the AU Human Capital Institution Development team last Friday in Accra.

The Minister praised the creative economy as a powerful tool for job creation, sharing her own journey in dance, acting, and design.

She also highlighted the Black Star Experience as a platform to showcase Ghanaian talent.

The AU delegation, led by Mr. Symerre Grey-Johnson, outlined plans to harness fashion, textiles, and recreation/wellness as growth pillars for Africa’s creative sector.

They further urged increased investment, local production, and strategic partnerships to transform creativity into a driver of economic growth.
