The Pan-African Parliament Committee Meets with Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs

The Pan-African Parliament’s Committee on Trade, Customs, and Immigration Matters has met with the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr James Gyakye Quayson, on Tuesday to discuss intra-African trade and cross-border movement.

The meeting also sought to strengthen collaboration between Ghana and the Pan-African Parliament in promoting regional integration.

Both parties declared their commitment to advancing the objectives of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and ensuring that trade and immigration policies promote sustainable development across the continent.

The delegation from the Pan African Parliament was: the Clerk of the Pan-African Parliament, Mrs Lindiwe Khumalo, Senator and Member of Parliament of the Kingdom of Morocco, Hanna Belkhir, Member of the National Assembly of Namibia, Rodney Cloete, Member of the National Assembly of Zambia, Jonathan Daka and Member of Parliament for South Dayi, Rockson-Nelson Etse Kwami Dafeamekpor.
