The International Organisation for Migration (IOM) has praised Ghana for its leadership in developing a comprehensive Migration Policy and effective migration management systems.
The Head of the IOM Mission in Ghana, Madam Fatou Ndiaye, made the commendation during a courtesy call on the Minister for the Interior, Mr Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, at his office in Accra on Wednesday.
“Ghana is leading by example in migration governance,” Madam Ndiaye said, emphasising the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing migration-related challenges.
She expressed the IOM’s appreciation to the Ministry for its continued support and strong partnership with the organisation in advancing migration management initiatives in the country.
Mr Muntaka thanked the IOM for its long-standing cooperation with Ghana and reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to sustaining the partnership.
“The Ministry will continue to work closely with IOM to ensure effective migration management in Ghana,” the Minister assured.
