The recruitment process, originally set to begin on November 15, 2025 has been postponed to November 17, 2025, due to the recent stampede during the armed forces recruitment process.
Speaking during a press briefing on Friday in Accra, the Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to addressing the unemployment crisis in the country through various initiatives, including this recruitment drive.
“This recruitment exercise is a significant step towards creating job opportunities for our young people,” he stated, highlighting the benefits of equipping Ghanaian youth with the necessary skills and training to contribute to national development.
Mr. Mohammed-Mubarak outlined several measures to ensure a smooth and efficient application process, which will now take place through a robust and user-friendly online portal accessible on multiple devices.
“This will allow applicants to apply from the comfort of their homes, marking a significant shift towards a more digital approach in recruitment” He added.
He noted that the Ministry plans to publish application details in national dailies, on its website, and across social media platforms to enhance accessibility.
The Minister noted that a dedicated short code for mobile applications will be introduced, with provisions for applicants in areas with network challenges to liaise through local Ghana Commercial Bank branches.
To avoid overcrowding, he stated that multiple screening centers will be established across the country, with a limit on applicants processed per day, ensuring that the screening is smooth and efficient.
Mr. Mohammed-Mubarak reassured the public that the selection will adhere strictly to merit-based criteria, firmly dismissing rumors of pre-selected candidates, emphasizing that all applicants will be treated with dignity and respect, guaranteeing transparency throughout the process.
“This is an opportunity to serve your country and make a difference in the lives of others,” he said, urging all eligible Ghanaians to seize this chance.
The Minister concluded by thanking the security agencies and the public for their support, expressing optimism that the recruitment exercise will be both successful and beneficial for the country. The new recruits will play a crucial role in strengthening Ghana’s internal security services.
He expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased and wished a swift recovery to those injured, emphasizing the sacrifices made by the armed forces and honoring their commitment to the nation.
