The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Prestea Huni-Valley, Mr. Mathew Kofi Ayeh, has stated that improving the road networks in the municipality is a priority of his administration.
According to him, good roads play a crucial role in promoting trade and ensuring the safety of the people.
He said this on Thursday after inspecting ongoing spot improvement works on sections of the Bogoso–Prestea road and the Awudua–Prestea by-pass.
He assured the people that the Assembly will continue to collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure the timely completion of the project.
The Assembly is leveraging the District Road Improvement Project (DRIP), which was launched by the previous administration, to execute these projects.
This initiative was introduced to empower the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies with equipment and relevant resources needed to enhance road networks across the country.
The Member of Parliament for the area, Mr. Robert Wisdom Cudjoe, who expressed satisfaction with the project, said it will improve the movement of goods and services, reduce travel time, and enhance economic activities across communities.
