Gender Minister Awarded 2025 Woman of Honour

 The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Dr Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, has been awarded the 2025 Outstanding Women of Honour at the 8th Edition of the Impactful Women Award.

The award was in recognition of her Inspiring Leadership, Passion for women’s empowerment, and her Excellent Commitment to Societal & Constituency Development.

The Minister was honoured on Friday in Accra when Mr Barry Joseph, the convener of Impactful Women Awards Initiative, paid a working visit to her.

He explained that the initiative, which has been ongoing for the past eight years across Ghana and other African countries, celebrates women who have made remarkable impacts in fields such as politics, leadership, women’s empowerment, education, and health, among others.

He said the Minister was nominated following a rigorous background assessment of her contributions to public life, community development initiatives, and her direct engagement with her constituents.

“He further described the minister as “one of the most visible and accessible women leaders in governance”

He also highlighted the initiative’s annual Breast Cancer Wellness Initiative, aimed at raising awareness and supporting women affected by breast cancer.

The Minister received a Certificate of Induction as official recognition of her induction into the Impactful Women Award Hall of Fame.

Dr Agnes Naa Momo Lartey expressed gratitude for the recognition, describing it as a motivation to do more and affirmed her commitment to improving the lives of women, children and vulnerable persons through responsive policies and practical interventions.

She commended the Initiative for its focus on supporting women’s empowerment and breast cancer awareness.
