The Cyber Security Authority (CSA) and the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) have arrested 39 individuals at Adom City Estate, Tema Community 25, Greater Accra, marking a significant clampdown on cybercrime networks.
The suspects were apprehended last Thursday following intelligence-led surveillance.
The operation targeted a suspected cyber fraud hub believed to be operating within the residential enclave. The raid was conducted with heavy security, resulting in the seizure of digital devices, laptops, and other materials for forensic analysis.
All 39 individuals, including three suspected minors, are currently in police custody and will be processed for court. This clampdown is part of a broader national strategy to combat online fraud, financial scams, and related cyber-enabled crimes affecting individuals and institutions across Ghana.
The Cyber Security Authority urges the public to remain vigilant and report suspected fraudulent activities by calling or texting 292 or via WhatsApp at 0501603111.
