Air Force Station Basic School in Takoradi Receives ICT Equipment

The Air Force Station Old Students Association (ASOSA) has donated Information and Communication Technology (ICT) equipment to the Air Force Station Basic School in Takoradi.

The ceremony, held on Friday at the Air Force Methodist-Presbyterian Church, included 30 sets of brand-new computers and a cash amount of GH₵50,000.00.

The President of ASOSA, Mr Stephen Yawson, emphasised that the donation aimed to improve the ICT education system in the school and equip students with the digital skills necessary in today’s world.

Receiving the items, the 2 Garrison Education Officer and Manager of Ghana Armed Forces Schools, Lieutenant Colonel Saviour Hadjah, expressed profound appreciation to the old students for their thoughtful and generous gesture.

He noted that the donation would significantly enhance the teaching and learning of ICT at the school, providing students with essential global knowledge and skills. He further urged the alumni to continue supporting one another and the school community.

The headmaster of the school, Mr Danquah, also expressed heartfelt gratitude to ASOSA and commended the association for its ongoing commitment to the school’s development. He stated that the new computers would make ICT learning more effective and engaging, thanking the association for its generosity and dedication.

The Management Committee of the Air Force Junction Mall (AJ Mall), led by Mr Joseph Akomani, also donated sanitation items to support the school as part of their first anniversary celebration.

He noted that this donation would help maintain cleanliness and promote environmental hygiene in and around the school.
