The Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, Mr. George Opare Addo, has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to develop an enabling environment for young entrepreneurs, with a particular focus on young women.

He said this at the inaugural Young Women’s Business Summit, held under the theme: “Advancing Inclusive Business for Young Women Entrepreneurs.”

Mr. Addo urged participants to make the most of the numerous government-led initiatives designed to support youth entrepreneurship.

“This includes the Adwumawura Programme, the National Apprenticeship Programme, the One Million Coders Programme, and various agribusiness initiatives, among others,” he added.

He emphasised the need for government, policymakers, development partners, and other stakeholders to be intentional and collaborative in their efforts to empower young women.

He gave the assurance that the Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment remains dedicated to promoting and supporting young women in business across the country.
