The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Dr Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, has reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to collaborate with development partners to improve the delivery of social protection interventions for vulnerable people across Ghana.
She made the remarks during a courtesy call by a delegation from the World Bank led by Cornelia M. Tesliuc, as part of the Ghana Productive Safety Net Project 2 (GPSNP 2) Implementation Support Mission being held in Accra from May 18 to 27, 2026.
The delegation engaged the Ministry to assess the progress of the project, discuss implementation challenges, and explore ways to improve the effectiveness and sustainability of social protection programmes under GPSNP 2.
Dr Lartey expressed appreciation to the World Bank for its continued partnership and technical support to Ghana’s social protection sector.
She said the Ghana Productive Safety Net Project 2 continues to support government efforts to improve the livelihoods of vulnerable households across the country.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for discussions on implementation milestones, institutional coordination, and measures aimed at improving programme delivery and outcomes under the project.
