NPC and Norway Deepen Collaboration on Peacebuilding Efforts

The Executive Secretary of the National Peace Council (NPC), Dr George Amoh, has paid a courtesy call on the Norwegian Ambassador to Ghana, John Mikal Kvistad Royal, to strengthen collaboration on peacebuilding and national stability initiatives, sustaining Ghana’s reputation as a beacon of peace in the region.

During the engagement, Dr Amoh highlighted Ghana’s peace architecture and outlined key initiatives undertaken by the Council over the years. These include the development of peace guidelines, the facilitation of Presidential Peace Pacts, and sustained advocacy efforts aimed at promoting peaceful co-existence and strengthening democratic resilience.

He commended the Royal Norwegian Embassy for its continued support of the Council’s work and called for deeper collaboration to strengthen peace initiatives across the country.

Ambassador Kvistad also commended the National Peace Council for its instrumental role in maintaining peace and stability in Ghana.

He reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to supporting ongoing and future peacebuilding efforts.
