
The Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, is participating in the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC) 2025 to join other countries to share best practices, discuss emerging trends, and collaborate on initiatives that promote digital development.
Ghana’s participation in WTDC 2025 also provides an opportunity for the country to showcase its progress in digital transformation and share valuable experiences with other nations. The conference will provide Ghana with access to global expertise, cutting-edge technologies, and innovative solutions that can help accelerate its digital agenda.
Moreover, Ghana’s participation allows the nation to contribute to broader global discussions regarding telecommunication policies, regulations, and standards. This engagement ensures that the country’s interests are represented and its unique needs are addressed in the international arena.
The conference held in Baku, Azerbaijan commenced in November 17 and will run through November 28 on the theme “Universal, meaningful, and affordable connectivity for an inclusive and sustainable digital future.”
The WTDC, a global event organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), held every four years brings together governments, policymakers, and technology leaders to advance digital connectivity and foster innovation and shape policies for digital inclusion.
The WTDC belongs to the ITU-D sector and focuses on digital development, capacity building, universities access and resilience for developing countries. The Conference sessions focus on cybersecurity, digital inclusion, information and communication technology applications, innovation, telecommunications regulation, and statistical indicators.
The Ministry’s involvement in WTDC 2025 highlights Ghana’s ongoing commitment to leveraging digital technologies to drive economic growth, improve governance, and enhance the quality of life for its citizens.
