MobileMoney Ltd. (MML) has reiterated the need for customers to remain vigilant and avoid sharing personal security credentials with any third party in order not to fall victim to fraudsters.
Customers have also been urged to be constantly guided by security reminders that MML will never request a customer’s OTP, MoMo PIN or any personal security code under any circumstance and that every security notification sent to them includes a clear warning not to share these codes with anyone.
Customers are, however, advised to report fraud-related concerns through the MTN 419 Helpline.
On its part, MML has renewed its commitment to continuous collaboration with relevant partners and law enforcement agencies as part of its ongoing fraud-related and customer protection review measures, adding that customer safety remained the company’s highest priority.
These were contained in a statement issued by MML, following a viral video circulating on an alleged Mobile Money (MoMo) fraud incident.
