Ghana, Barbados Open Recruitment for Allied Health Professionals

The Government of Ghana, in partnership with the Government of Barbados, has announced the recruitment of qualified Allied Health Professionals for placement in Barbados.

The initiative is aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in the health sector while offering Ghanaian professionals the opportunity to work in a dynamic international environment.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Health on Thursday, the statement stated that the recruitment covers a range of specialised positions, including cardiac perfusionists, electrocardiograph technicians, electroencephalographic technologists, audiologists, diagnostic radiographers, occupational therapists, respiratory therapists, speech and language therapists, and physicists.

According to the statement, applicants must meet the regulatory requirements of the Allied Health Professions Council and possess at least five years of relevant work experience.

It said Prospective candidates are required to submit a comprehensive set of documents, including academic certificates, proof of good standing from the Allied Health Professions Council, appointment letters, a recent police clearance certificate issued by the Ghana Police Service, and other supporting credentials such as a valid passport, curriculum vitae, and reference letters.

The ministry further noted that the application process, which opened on April 10, 2026, will close on April 14, 2026, and applications are to be submitted through the Ministry of Health’s recruitment portal.

It stated that shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview and must present original copies of their documents for verification, stressing that only successful applicants will be contacted.
