Central Regional Peace Council and Philip Quaque Girls’ School advocate against Violence on Women and Girls.

The Central Regional Peace Council (CRPC), in collaboration with the Philip Quaque Girls’ School, has joined the global campaign to end all forms of violence against women and girls.

The program held in Cape Coast, on Tuesday, brought together 148 students who participated in a sensitization program aimed at raising awareness on Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV).

The students were educated on the different forms of SGBV, associated risks, early warning signs, and ways to seek help while supporting one another.

A Council member, Mama Awotsu Adzagba II (Mrs. Richlove Amonoo), and Pastor Joseph Arizie urged the girls to speak up without fear, protect themselves, and report any instances of abuse, emphasizing  that “every girl deserves safety, dignity, and a voice.”

This engagement is part of ongoing efforts to nurture informed, confident, and empowered young women capable of standing against violence in all its forms.

The Council and school continue to advocate for a society where women and girls are safe, protected, and empowered to reach their full potential.
