The Director of Human Resource, MoYS, Mr Eric Mensah-Bonsu, retreated the importance of the RTI, which is primarily to enhance transparency and accountability.

He said the law seeks to empower the public to hold leaders accountable, develop a fuller understanding of the country’s governance and ensure human rights are protected.

Other areas the participants were taken through were the right to access information, who to contact for information, the procedures involved in accessing information, the information that could be accessed and those that are exempted from disclosure.
