Sports Ministry donates jerseys, footballs to ISD

The Ministry of Youth and Sports has presented two sets of jerseys and three footballs to the Information Services Department’s (ISD) Soccer team.

At the presentation ceremony in Accra, the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry, Mr. Kenneth Annang said the items would go a long way to whip up interest in sports in Ghana.

He added that sporting activities help individuals to improve their health and well-being.

He commended the ISD for promoting corporate sporting activities and urged other organisations to make time for such activities to promote good health among their workers.

In a remark the Director of the ISD, Mr. Charles Wereko, pledged management supports for the team, urging the team to put the items into good use.

He said the Department could use sporting activities as a vehicle to network with both private and public organisations to enhance the development of the Department.
