President Mahama has sworn-in the Governing Board of National Centre for the Coordination of Early Warning Systems
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Jubilee house on Friday.
The 12-member Governing Board of the National Centre for the Coordination of Early Warning Systems, chaired by the Chief of Staff, Mr Julius Debrah includes the â Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak; â Minister for Defence, Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah; â Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa; Minister for Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson; â Minister for Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh and the â Minister for Environment, Science and Technology, Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed,
The others are the Minister of Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George; Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine; Minister of Transport, Joseph Bukari Nikpe and the â Director of the National Centre for the Coordination of Early Warning and Response Mechanism, Colonel Emmanuel Sampson.
The National Centre for Coordination of Early Warning and Response Mechanism (NCCRM), as established by Act 2021(Act 1070) is responsible for timely identification of an emerging crisis in Ghana and the West Africa sub-region, and the implementation of an improved crisis response mechanism.
It works closely with government agencies, CSOs, and other stakeholders to develop effective early warning systems and response mechanisms with a focus on human security.
