The National Road Safety Authority has partnered with the Access to Information Division (ATID) of the Ministry of Information to provide its staff with in-depth training on the Right to Information (RTI) Act. This training, conducted in accordance with Section 45(c) of the Act, which suggests guidelines for the internal training of personnel in public institutions, aims to acquaint staff with the provisions of the RTI Act.
Madam Adelaide Dzifa Sarpong, Head of the Human Resource Unit, delivered the welcome address, and Miss Belinda Ayah, Right to Information officer, elucidated the training’s purpose.
The training sessions featured Mr. George Frimpong Basoah and Mr. Sosthenes Senanu Nyadroh, Principal Officers of the ATI Division, who provided insights into various aspects of the RTI Act. These included the application procedure, exemptions, orders, decisions, and directives as outlined by the Right to Information Commission.

The interactive nature of the training allowed participants to ask questions and seek clarification on any sections of the Act they found perplexing. This approach ensured that the staff gained a deeper understanding of the Act and could contribute effectively to its implementation.

This training underscores the National Road Safety Authority’s commitment to transparency and accountability, ensuring that its staff is well-versed in the Right to Information Act and can better serve the public and fulfill their roles effectively.
