MoI, ISD marks 2022 Civil Service Week Celebration with a clean-up exercise

The Ministry of Information and Information Services Department (ISD) have undertaken a clean-up exercise around the office premises to mark the commencement of the 2022 Civil Service Week Celebration.

In an interaction with the media during the clean-up exercise, the Acting Chief Information Officer of ISD, Mr David Owusu-Amoah noted that the exercise was a wake-up call for Civil Servants to maintain a clean environment.

“The clean-up exercise we are undertaking today is an indication that maintaining a cleaner environment is not the sole responsibility of the government but also the citizens in the country which civil servants are no exception,” he stated.

Mr Owusu Amoah noted that the department would join the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) on the “Operation Clean Your Frontage” campaign once a month to clean the office premises.

“From time to time, staff from the department would embark on a clean-up exercise to maintain a cleaner environment to compliment the “Operation Clean Your Frontage” campaign,” he added.

The 2022 Civil Service Week Celebration is themed “Digitalization in the Civil Service of Ghana, an agenda for improved productivity and service delivery.”

The activities for the week long-celebration include a Press Launch, Christian and Muslim Thanksgiving, Public Lecture, Opening Day, Health Talk, Blood Donation, Medical Screening and the Civil Service Awards Ceremony.
