The Right to Information (RTI) Officer of Atwima Nwabiagya North District, Mr. Daniel Nana Nhyiraba Adonteng has organised a workshop for pupils and staff of Marban D/A Junior High School (JHS) on the Right to Information Act.
The week-long campaign saw interactive workshops and practical demonstrations, leaving a lasting impact on the school community.
He highlighted that, the RTI Act grants citizens access to information from public institutions, promoting transparency and accountability.
He stated that the RTI law has many advantages stating that it can help to prevent corruption by making it easier for citizens to expose corrupt practices.
“It can help to improve public services by making it easier for citizens to hold public officials accountable for their performance,â€
Students were equipped with a clear understanding of the Act as the officer emphasized its importance in making informed decisions and shaping a responsible and accountable society.
