ISD holds end-of-year staff durbar

The Information Services Department (ISD) has held its annual staff durbar to deliberate on the Department’s growth and welfare as well as address the challenges that staff are facing.

The Acting Chief Information Officer, Mr David Owusu Amoah, in his opening remarks lauded the staff for their dedication and commitment to the ongoing transformation programme.

He explained that the ISD transformation journey began last year with a retreat, durbar, and meetings with Regional, District/Municipal Information Officers.

“The Department has also undergone an organogram restructuring, realigning some staff to new Divisions and Sections,” he added.

He said the reorganization and transformation of the Department were aimed at reaffirming it as the only Public Relations outfit of the government.

He acknowledged the financial constraints of the Department and urged staff to continue to put up their best despite the challenges.

On his part, the Deputy Chief Information Officer of Finance and Administration, Mr Frank Kwabena Siaw-Otu, advised the staff to utilize the resources at their disposal to help the Department effectively carry out its mandate.
