The Minister for the Interior, Mr Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, has commissioned the Borteyman Police Station, describing it as a symbol of the community’s commitment to protecting lives, safeguarding property, and upholding the rule of law.
Speaking at the ceremony on Wednesday in Accra, the Minister expressed gratitude to the Ghana Police Service, residents, and stakeholders for their tireless efforts and collaboration in making the police station a reality.
He said the new station will serve as a vital hub for police operations and community engagement, enabling officers to respond swiftly to challenges and work closely with residents to address security concerns.
Mr. Mohammed-Mubarak called on residents to partner with the police, share information, and collaborate in fostering a culture of safety and peace.
He also urged officers stationed at Borteyman to engage with the community, listen to residents’ concerns, and serve with dedication and respect.
The Tema Regional Police Commander, DCOP Barnabas Nasumong, echoed the Minister’s call for professionalism and community partnership, assuring residents that the station would operate with integrity and be responsive to local needs.
