The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Mr Samuel Nartey George has reiterated the government’s commitment to work closely with Togolese counterparts towards the timely reactivation of the Ghana-Togo Joint Permanent Commission for Cooperation.
This commission, he stated was essential for fostering structured dialogue and collaboration across various sectors.
Speaking on behalf of President Mahama at the 65th Independence Day celebration of Togo at the Togolese High Commission on Monday in Accra, the Minister emphasized the importance of the partnership in strengthening bilateral relations.
Mr. George noted that the reactivation of Togo’s Independence Day celebrations in Ghana symbolizes a renewed partnership and solidarity between the two nations. He mentioned the successful operationalization of the Noépé-Akanu Joint Border Post as an achievement to facilitates seamless movement and communication across borders.
According to him, the partnership between University of Lome’s Village of Benin and the Ministry of Education, Ghana has enhanced linguistic and cultural ties while nurturing generations of Ghanaians proficient in the French language as a vital asset in today’s increasingly interconnected world.
“This is a partnership we deeply value and remain committed to strengthening,†he stated.
