The Assemblies of God Church has pledged to collaborate with the government to contribute to the development of the country since the church’s extensive investments in education, healthcare and agriculture align with the government’s development agenda.
This came to light when the delegation of the church led by the Regional Superintendent of Eastern Region “A,” Rev. Albert Anane in the Eastern Region called on the Regional Minister, Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey, at her office in Koforidua.
He said that the church’s investments reflect the commitment to improving the lives of Ghanaians and called on government to recognize faith-based institutions as development partners.
Rev. Albert Anane said the government stands the chance to leverage the church’s resources, expertise and networks for shared development goals if there was a strong collaboration between them.
The Regional Minister acknowledged the position of the church in the nation’s development, saying the faith-based institutions have played vital role in advancing social welfare, education, and economic growth in the country.
